Mahran is the lead consultant for cancer and keyhole surgery at Bedford Hospital with 20 years of experience.
Mr Mahran completed advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery training in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals and has since introduced the keyhole hysterectomy, advanced laparoscopic surgery and operative hysteroscopy techniques to Bedford and Manor BMI Hospitals. Mr Mahran is an active member of the BSGE (British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy) and he received advanced training at endometriosis centres in London.
Mr Mahran practices a holistic style of gynaecology and provides detailed and comprehensive information that empowers his patients to make an informed decision about their own particular circumstances
Mr Mahran is very interested in medical education and organises lectures, small groups and workshops for fellow peers / professionals. He also published numerous articles in various medical journals
Away from the office he is a keen swimmer and enjoys spending time with his family.
